Kate Middleton and Prince William garnered 10 million followers on Instagram recently.

According to Daily Mail, the road to reaching these many followers wasn’t easy. In fact, the royal couple’s official Instagram account reached a plateau earlier this year with 7 million followers. But after they split from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, their number of followers started picking up again.

The publication said that other than their split from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince William and Middleton garnered more followers within seven months because their photos have become so uniformly good.

Royal fans are also looking forward to seeing photos taken by the Duchess of Cambridge herself, and these are usually uploaded on the Kensington Palace Instagram account.

As of late, the royal couple has a total of 1,882 number of posts, and they also follow 92 accounts and charities such as Prince Harry’s Sentebale and Meghan Markle’s Smart Works.

Since Prince William and Middleton follow 92 accounts on Instagram, the followers of these 92 accounts also follow the royal couple. The millions of followers of the royal couple are also delighted when they share pictures of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Most often than not, photos of the royal children are the ones that receive the most number of likes on social media. For instance, a photo of Prince George and Princess Charlotte on their first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea received 2.1 million likes.

Two million people also liked Prince George’s christening photo from 2013, and over 8 million watched his christening footage. Prince William and Middleton’s family Christmas card also earned 1.8 million likes.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Middleton could have more than 10 million followers. However, Instagram limited fake accounts on official accounts in February. This led to the royal couple losing 150,000 followers on their official Kensington Palace account.

Prince Harry and Markle, on the other hand, have 9.4 million followers considering their account was only created months ago.
