How Kate Middleton, Prince William Really Feel About Duke’s Cheating Rumors

Kate Middleton finds the rumors about Prince William cheating on her “hurtful.”

Earlier this year, there were allegations that the Duke of Cambridge was having an affair with a family friend named Rose Hanbury. According to an insider, the duchess wasn’t happy about it and even found it damaging.

“Kate finds the rumors hurtful, obviously, and hates the thought that one day her children will be able to read about them online,” a family friend told Us Weekly.

Another insider said that Middleton approached Prince William and confronted him about the alleged affair and the second-in-line to the throne just laughed it off because it wasn’t true. However, the future king was really mad about the rumors.

Daily Beast reported that he hired lawyers to take legal action about the issue. At least one British publication was served with a legal warning for publishing details of the rumors that were deemed “false” and “damaging.”

“In addition to being false and highly damaging, the publication of false speculation in respect of our clients’ private life also constitutes a breach of his privacy pursuant to Article 8 of the European Convention to Human Rights,” one of the letters from Harbottle and Lewis law firm read.

An insider said that despite the rumored affair, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not splitting. The rumors have helped the couple strengthen their marriage by examining their relationship and they realized that they should have been doing it more often.

“They’d let their romantic connection cool a little in recent years,” a source said before adding “but they’ve learned that nothing should replace regular quality time together.”

Prince William celebrated his 37th birthday last Friday and Middleton and their kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis gifted the duke with a memorable present, an album that featured their kids’ drawings, collages, prints and family pictures.

According to an insider, the gift took a great deal of time and effort to make so it was very special. It’s a reminder to Prince William what really matters.

On Sunday, Middleton’s dad, Michael Middleton, celebrated his 70th birthday. The Duchess of Cambridge joined her mom, Carole, and siblings James and Pippa at the celebration. She took Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis with her at the birthday bash. However, Prince William reportedly didn’t make it at the event.
