How Is Meghan Markle Adjusting To High-Profile Romance With Prince Harry?

Meghan Markle is willing to compromise for boyfriend Prince Harry.

Being romantically involved with a royal takes a lot of guts and effort and even celebrities like Markle have to make adjustments for it. According to an insider, the "Suits" star has worked very hard to be Prince Harry's princess.

"For the first time, the realities of the royal bubble are starting to dawn on Meghan," an insider told Look magazine (via Express). "She's worked so hard and makes sure she acts properly and that people like her. Meg's image is carefully crated and has been built up over many years."

The insider added that Markle's boyfriend has been supportive of her during those times. "Harry has been great. He's given her countless examples of times that he's been unfairly criticised and nobody thinks any less of him," the source continued.

Katie Nicholl, a British writer, has confirmed that Prince Harry is Markle's main mentor when it comes to the British royal family and protocol. "He knows how daunting this will be for Meghan and he's keen for her to be relaxed in the company of senior royals," Nicholl told New York Post.

In fact, before Prince Harry introduced Markle to the monarch, he may have already taught his girlfriend how to address Queen Elizabeth II and how to dress accordingly for the meeting. "Harry will have made sure Meghan knew how to address the queen and how to behave in her presence," Nicholl added. "He calls her 'Granny,' but after Meghan had curtsied and called her 'Your Majesty,' she would have reverted to 'ma'am.' It seems strange to mere mortals, but it is how [Princess] Kate addresses her."

Aside from Prince Harry, Kate Middleton is another mentor for the "Horrible Bosses" star. The Duchess of Cambridge experienced the same struggles during the early days of her relationship with Prince William. Middleton is a great role model for Markle as she prepares to join the most popular British family.

As for the documentaries covering Markle and Prince Harry's romance, Middleton reportedly assured the "Remember Me" star that her brother-in-law's love for the American actress will stay the same. "This documentary will come and go, Kate said, but Harry will still love you," the insider said (via Express).
