Princess Diana would have approved Meghan Markle if she were alive.

According to Abbie Llewellyn of Express, if Princess Diana had a vision for the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex would be the person in her mind. Just like Princess Diana, Markle is a modernizer because she does things on her own ways. Llewellyn added that Marke is fulfilling Princess Diana’s vision for the royal family.

Markle is an advocate for women’s rights and she also edited an edition of Vogue along the theme of “Forces for Change.” Markle is the first biracial to marry a senior member of the royal family.

Markle is also a divorcee. Years ago, royals were discouraged to marry a divorced person which prompted Princess Margaret to break up with Peter Townsend and King Edward VIII to abdicate the throne.

Queen Elizabeth II was only third-in-line to the throne. Her uncle King Edward VIII was the heir apparent. King Edward VIII’s children would be ahead Queen Elizabeth II in the line of succession just like how Prince Harry was bumped down after Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

However, King Edward VIII decided to pursue the matters of his heart over the throne. Queen Elizabeth II’s father became king after King Edward VIII’s abdication and Her Majesty reigned after her father died.

Princess Diana and Markle have a number of similarities. They both came from a broken family and they are not afraid to break the rules. They are also involved in a number of charities and organizations.

Princess Diana’s former bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, believed that the late Princess of Wales would like Markle’s theatrical background and how she deals with the media and the public, too.

“Meghan is a consummate performer with her theatrical background, which gives her a huge advantage in dealing with the public,” Wharfe told Daily Mail.

“I remember her first public engagement with Harry in Nottingham, I think it was, and later at a radio station in Brixton and she was so brilliant in dealing with the media and talking to people with sincerity in her voice. Diana would have liked that.”
