Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry married in 2018, the couple has been creating a path, separate from Prince William and Kate Middleton. However, the steps they have taken so far are starting to damage the Royal Family’s reputation.

Meghan and Harry are no strangers to breaking royal tradition, and while the public has accepted some of their decisions, their behavior is starting to receive harsh criticism from fans and taxpayers.

During an episode of “Pod Save the Queen,” royal expert Russell Myers revealed Prince Harry and Meghan’s decision to ignore their PR team’s advice has caused several “disasters” for the couple’s image.

“They’re two very headstrong people, they’ve decided this is what they want to do for their child,” he said.

The couple has been under fire following their renovations to Frogmore House cottage and the Duchess of Sussex’s Wimbledon appearance, where her security team asked attendees to refrain from taking pictures.

Myers claimed insiders are concerned Meghan and Harry have been “completely ignoring” advice given during PR briefings.

“It seems like they’re careering from one disaster to another. People I’m speaking to who are close to the Sussexes and close to the household are saying that they just don’t take advice. That is a major problem for them,” Daily Mirror editor revealed.

Myers advised the couple to fall into line before they end up destroying the family name. “They’re still young people, especially Harry, he’s trying to find his way in the world, he’s left the Army and trying to work out what his life plan is,” he stated.

“And Meghan’s been in the Royal Family for five minutes. I’m afraid they need to really realize where they are in the world, and you can’t switch [privacy] on and off when you want.”

Myers insisted Prince Harry and Meghan’s press team need to gain control over the couple because they won’t be able to hide from the spotlight for much longer.

“Certainly, Harry would like to be more like Zara and Mike [Tindall] and have that freedom. But unfortunately, he is related to the heir, and he is going to be the son of the future King,” Myers explained.

“The problem is, you can’t have one foot in and one foot out, and this is the issue that’s being debated at the moment.”

Although Prince Harry and Meghan have made several public appearances, the Duchess of Sussex is expected to remain on maternity leave until the fall.
