Beyoncé has opened up in a candid way about her weight in a new YouTube video that was posted on Wednesday. In the video, the singer talked about the fitness regime she underwent prior to her performance at the 2018 Coachella and gave fans a glimpse at what she weighed preperformance.

The video, entitled “22 Days Nutrition,” provides a behind-the-scenes look at Beyoncé, 37, and her weight loss goals. On day one of her fitness journey, Beyoncé hops on the scale to show her fans exactly what her weight is prior to her first workout.

"Good morning, it's 5 a.m., and this is day one of rehearsals for Coachella," she says in the video. She then steps on the scale to reveal her true weight, saying to the camera, “Every woman's nightmare...this is my weight, 175. Long way to go."

To get in shape for the performance, Beyoncé worked with trainer Marco Borges, who is the creator of 22 Days Nutrition – the plant-based diet plan that the singer followed. While the program is designed to last for 22 days, Beyoncé followed the program for 44 days so she could “meet her goals” for her Coachella appearance.

"I'm back on the stage after giving birth to twins," Beyoncé said. "I was a woman that felt like my body was not mine.

"It's time to work, so I have to get in that zone, it's like a different headspace. Me getting the weight off was so much easier than getting back in shape and my body feeling comfortable,” she added.

Beyoncé gave birth to her twins, Rumi and Sir, in June 2017.
