How Prince Charles’ 70th Birthday Portrait Hints At Meghan Markle’s Due Date
Prince Charles’ 70th birthday portrait reportedly suggests when Meghan Markle will give birth to her first child.
Kathryn Knight, a journalist for Express, analyzed the snap and noted how Markle held on to her growing baby bump in the picture. Since Prince Charles’ family portrait was taken on Sept. 5 – over a month before the couple announced their news to the public – it could mean that Markle’s due date could be anywhere between March 20 and June 21.
Expectant couples and royals alike tend to wait for the three-month mark before announcing their pregnancy. At the time Prince Charles’ photos were taken, Markle and Prince Harry have not yet told their relatives the news. But royal fans can easily see that Markle’s abdominal area was already bigger than usual.
Judi James, a body language expert, told The Sun that Markle’s facial expression in the photos suggested that they were keeping a secret from the royal family at the time the portrait was taken.
“Harry, in particular, seems to be sporting a very secretive-looking smile in the more formal photo, with his lips closed and a knowing eye expression. Meghan holds her hands over her stomach in a light, elegant-looking gesture that has since turned into a baby-bump ritual,” she said.
“It’s a sign of her pregnancy ‘secret’ at this point that as soon as the more formal posing is over that, rather than communicating with Harry, she leans forward towards Charlotte or George, laughing with them and trying to share their fun in a gesture of empathy that would have been a clue that children were uppermost in her mind,” James added.
But bookies have claimed that Markle’s baby will be born in April with an odd of 6/4. Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead told Express, “It’s sure to be an exciting spring for royal fans and we make April the favorite for the month that Meghan and Harry’s new arrival is born.”
