Prince Charles said something after the birth of Prince William that is now being linked to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby number two.

After Prince William was born in 1982, Prince Charles was interviewed by reporters outside St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing. The future King said that he was obviously relieved and delighted with the arrival of his firstborn son.

Outside the hospital, Prince Charles could hear the massive cheers of royal fans that couldn’t contain their excitement over Prince William’s birth. One of the reporters then told Prince Charles that the royal fans have been singing “well done Charlie, give us another one!”

“Is that in the program of events?” the reporter asked.

Prince Charles quickly denied his plans to have another child shortly after Prince William’s birth. With a huge smile on his face, he said that he didn’t think there should be two peas just yet.

But less than 20 months later, the palace announced that Princess Diana was pregnant with baby number two. Prince Harry was born in 1984 at St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing.

Martina Bet, a journalist for Express, said that Prince Charles’ statement could be a hint that Markle and Prince Harry would have another child sooner rather than later. In the past, Prince Harry also expressed his desire to have two children.

While at the 50th anniversary of the Investiture of the Prince of Wales at the Buckingham Palace, Prince Harry reportedly told Falklands War Army veteran Simon Weston about having two babies in the future.

Royal correspondent Rebecca English tweeted about the event and wrote, “Simon Weston spoke to Harry today who joked about the Wales/Engl rugby. ‘I warned him & the Duchess it serves him right as they will be getting plenty of sleepless nights when the baby is born…’ He said if they have any more than two it will serve him right.”
