How Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Baby Could Steal Princess Charlotte’s ‘Thunder’
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are just weeks away from welcome their first child, but according to a new report, the Duke of Sussex is worried about his forthcoming child stealing his niece's thunder.
In Touch Weekly’s April 8 print issue reports that Prince Harry and his wife, Duchess of Sussex Meghan, are planning on naming their baby, who the publication claims to know is a girl, after his late mother, Princess Diana.
“She promised that if they ever had a little girl that they’d honor his mother by naming her Diana,” a source told the magazine of Meghan’s baby name plan.

Despite the meaningful gesture, the insider claims Harry wasn’t immediately convinced to give their baby the same name as his mother. The reason? Princess Charlotte. Harry’s brother Prince William and wife Catherine gave their 3-year-old daughter the middle name Diana.
“He also pointed out that things are tense between the foursome right now,” reports the magazine, noting their four’s rumored feuds in recent months. “Harry didn’t want to create more tension by William thinking he’s trying to steal Charlotte’s thunder."
However, after a “lengthy conversation,” it is reported that Harry agreed on the moniker. A source said, “She managed to convince him that naming the baby Diana isn’t a bad thing… Meghan said at the end of the day it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.”
