Meghan Markle is celebrating her first Mother’s Day. The Duchess of Sussex gave birth just a week before the U.S. celebration of matriarchs, and she and Prince Harry acknowledged the holiday on Instagram with a nod to Princess Diana.

A photo shows what are presumably baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor’s feet, and there are forget-me-not flowers in the background. The blooms are known as one of the late Princess Diana’s favorites.

The post on Sussex Royal also acknowledges mothers who have passed. The Princess of Wales died in a car crash on Aug. 31, 1997. “Paying tribute to all mothers today - past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered,” the post reads. “We honor and celebrate each and every one of you.”

Meghan Markle gets the best of both worlds due to her American background and her British husband. The Duchess of Sussex was pregnant on Mother’s Day in the U.K., which was celebrated on March 31. Luckily, Archie arrived just in time for the American version of the holiday.

Meghan and Harry announced Archie’s birth on Monday. The Sussexes famously told the press that they would not have a photo call immediately following the birth. While Prince William and Kate Middleton posed for photographers before leaving the hospital after each of their children was delivered, Meghan and Harry wanted to wait a couple of days.

On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex brought Archie out in front of a couple of photographers and a reporter. They said that he’d been a quiet baby thus far. “He has the sweetest temperament. He’s really calm,” Meghan commented.

“Wonder where he gets that from,” Harry quipped.

“He’s just been a dream, so it’s been a special couple days,” Meghan added.

Thus far, it seems the Duke and Duchess have opted not to give their son any titles. They reportedly want his upbringing to be as normal as possible. Even his name doesn’t seem to have any royal ties. Although there is an Archibald on Diana’s side of the family, the Sussexes simply named their son Archie. Harrison also doesn’t seem to have any connections, though it does mean “son of Harry.”
