It’s been reported for a while that Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have been feuding with their cousin-in-law Kate Middleton, but now, it’s alleged that their mother, Sarah Ferguson, is part of the reason behind the alleged battle.

According to a resurfaced report in Express UK, much of the issues stem back from when Middleton married Prince William in 2011, and the people who were left off the guest list. While Princess Beatrice was reportedly furious that her then-boyfriend, Dave Clark, wasn’t invited because Prince William didn’t think he could be discreet, it’s also alleged that both she and Princess Eugenie were deeply hurt that their mom also was denied an invitation to the huge event.

Ferguson, also known as Fergie, wasn’t invited to the nuptials despite still being closely woven with the royal family years after her divorce from Prince Andrew, and it’s likely believed that it was partly because of the scandals she was involved with in the past.

Since those alleged snubs, things have been reportedly frosty between the York sisters and Middleton as a result, and things weren’t made better as the Duchess of Cambridge started to get a higher profile—pushing the two blood-born Princesses further into the background as a result.

Sources previously told the Daily Mail that Middleton gets a higher ranking over the other two, and it adds to the drama.

“Royalty is all about pecking order, often in a cruelly blunt sense, and it is Kate who has all the toys and the position,” a source said at the time. “Despite being the only young ‘blood Princesses’, Beatrice and Eugenie have been reduced to walk-on parts in Royal Family life.”

“It particularly hurt when Kate did solo engagements with the Queen during the Diamond Jubilee. They felt snubbed,” the source added.
