How The Season 27 ‘DWTS’ Teams Are Preparing For Week 2
The pressure is on for the teams competing on Season 27 of “Dancing With the Stars,” as the 12 remaining couples are all returning for a week that will push them to their limits with two full routines each. At the end of the two nights of competition for week 2, one team will be saying goodbye after a heartbreaking elimination.
Teams were required to learn two different routines ahead of Week 2 of competition on the ABC series, which will take place over two nights. Night one, Monday, will see the pairs all performing routines set to songs about New York City, while Tuesday night will see routines set for Las Vegas. At the end of Tuesday’s competition, another pair will be eliminated.
With so much on their plates for week 2, the teams have been hard at work to make sure they can impress with their new routines. Here’s how they spent the week rehearsing and hoping they’ll be able to do just that:
Team RenTen
After being among the teams in jeopardy after Week 1, Alexis and Alan are working hard to make sure they ace their routines, with Alan sharing posts showing them practicing their blocking onstage and as they worked in the studio as well. He also took a moment to share a goofy photo from rehearsal where they each dressed like ballerinas, indicating he just wanted to have some fun in the process.
Team BeautyandtheGeek
While it’s not clear what they have in store for New York night, Bobby and Sharna seem to be bringing some magic into their Vegas routine—and troupe member Hayley Erbert will need to watch out for her safety as a result of their plans.
Team Chernando
Juan Pablo has been working hard with Cheryl to perfect his new routines, while Cheryl shared a glimpse of how steamy things may play out on stage during their blocking rehearsal.
Team BlindFaith
Danelle and Artem have been working hard on their new routines, and the Paralympic skier has been making sure their fans also know how grateful they are for the support they’ve been given.
Team StickIt
Sasha is definitely keeping Mary Lou at work, as evidenced by two different posts she shared of their rehearsals on social media.
Team FireandFlames
Not much was revealed by the team who tied at the top of the leaderboard in week one, but Brandon did share a small glimpse of them working their routine out for camera blocking.
Team SuperDuke
The troupe will be helping out during John and Emma’s new routines, with the whole group appearing to be on stage with them during their recent blocking.
Team WaresOurMirrorball (DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold), Team Witlo (Witney Carson and Milo Manheim), Team CHECKusOUT (Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson), Team Kevanna (Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe) and Team McVal (Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy) all wound up not sharing any significant updates the last few days, so fans will just have to wait and see what they’ve cooked up.
“Dancing With the Stars” Season 27 airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
