HTC One M10 Rumors: Two New Photos Show Design Changes With Chamfered Edges, Fingerprint Scanner
HTC’s upcoming "One M9 successor" goes by a slew of names online and they are HTC One M10, HTC 10, HTC M10 and also by the codename HTC Perfume. This device will reportedly be launched on April 19.
Even though, several photos of the HTC One M10 have leaked in the past, two new photos reveal key details of the device. One of the leaked photos presents the live screen with a weather app. The app indicates this image was taken in Beijing.
The device has a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button right below the screen with two capacitive buttons on the sides. In comparison, the HTC One M9 comes with onscreen buttons.
The other photo showing the back of the phone has chamfered edges. GSM Arena said ergonomics could be the reason behind such an edge, rather than aesthetics. Holding the M10 will be much easier and comfortable with chamfered edges.
Moving on to rumored specifications, the HTC One M10 is believed to carry either a 5.2 or 5.1-inch AMOLED display, packed with 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution. Under the hood, this handset will apparently come powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset. It is worth noting that this chipset scored top ranking at the AnTuTu benchmark test conducted recently.
As it turns out, the M10 will be released as two variants. One of them will come powered by the Snapdragon 820, whereas the other will settle for MediaTek silicon. The Qualcomm one will reportedly be headed to the U.S. and Europe, while the MediaTek chip powered variants are designated for other regions.
Camera-wise, a 12-megapixel UltraPixel primary sensor along with optical image stabilization (OIS) and laser-assisted auto focus will be part of the handset. Rumors also point to 4 GB of RAM configuration for the One M10. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS will run the device with the latest custom Sense 8 UI on top of it.

As always, readers are advised to take the reported HTC One M10 specifications and leaked photos with the proverbial pinch of salt as the company has not confirmed any information so far.
