  • Hugh Jackman conspired with a New York police officer for a "Deadpool 3" cameo pitch
  • Officer John Dobkowski asked Ryan Reynolds to give Jackman a "10-minute cameo" in the next "Deadpool" film
  • The officer jokingly threatened to give Reynolds a ticket if he doesn't agree to his request

Hugh Jackman trolled Ryan Reynolds once again as he made a case for his appearance in "Deadpool 3" via a New York police officer.

On Saturday, Jackman took to Twitter to share a 34-second clip in which he’s approached by an officer with the New York City Parks Department named John Dobkowski. After the "Wolverine" star realized that he’s in no trouble with the law, he decided to troll Reynolds, continuing their friendly "feud" that has gone on for years.

"Hey Ryan, you've got to get this guy in 'Deadpool 3,'" Dobkowski said in the video. "Even if it's for a 10-minute cameo, that would be awesome. That movie would be so cool, so great, it would blow the box office."

The officer then jokingly threatened to give Reynolds a ticket if he does not agree to his request.

"Officer Dobkowski is doling out incredibly smart career advice for @VancityReynolds," Jackman wrote alongside the video. "Sharing is caring."

Twitter users had mixed opinions about the clip. Some said they are not fans of "Deadpool" and not even Jackman's potential appearance would convince them to watch the third installment.

"I know I'm (almost) alone with my opinion but it won't make me watch 'Deadpool' anyway, just not my cup of tea," one commented.

"No, you're not alone... right there with you... " another agreed.

"Tbh I feel the same," a third user added.

But many others supported Jackman's pitch and said they are already looking forward to seeing him in the next "Deadpool" movie. Some Twitter users who are not fans of the superhero movie said they would be willing to watch it if the "Les Miserables" star is making a cameo.

"He’s spot! Come on @VancityReynolds make it happen!!!!" one commented with a fan-made poster.

"Absolutely!! I would not even consider seeing Deadpool ...but you put @RealHughJackman in that movie mix... and it’s a 'no brainer'...I’m there!!" another wrote with a purple heart emoji.

"I swear you guys one of these days we are going to see them together in that movie. Heck, I’ll even consider seeing them do other type of movie, just do a movie together regardless," another fan wrote.

Jackman and Reynolds' long-running joke "rivalry" has been going on for years. The "Greatest Showman" star previously revealed that he could not remember when it started anymore but recalled that he first met Reynolds on the set of "Wolverine." He added that he was close to Reynold's ex-wife, Scarlett Johansson, and after the two tied the knot, he and the Canadian actor started ribbing each other.

"I met him back on ‘Wolverine,’ and I used to ream him because I was very close friends with Scarlett [Johansson], and Scarlett had just married Ryan, so when he came on set I was like, ‘Hey, you better be on your best behavior here, pal, because I’m watching,’" Jackman recalled.

"Deadpool 3" is currently in development at Marvel Studios, but a release date has yet to be announced. Though not much is known about the third movie, studio head Kevin Feige confirmed that it will have an R rating just like the two previous films.

"It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now," Feige previously told Collider. "It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life."
