‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay:’ New Movie Trailer And Poster Released [VIDEO]
The excitement is building for “Hunger Games” fans. After a short movie trailer debuted last month with a message to the citizens of Panem, another teaser for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” was released Wednesday.
Lionsgate released a 53-second teaser trailer for the movie, which is set to hit theaters on Nov. 21.
In the clip, President Snow (played by Donald Sutherland) addresses citizens about the importance of unity, with a brainwashed Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) standing alongside him.
“Panem is speaking with one voice. The Capitol and Districts, bound together in solidarity,” the president says. His message, however, is interrupted by Beetee broadcasting from District 13.
“This is a pirate transmission from District 13 with a message,” Beetee, played by Jeffrey Wright, says. “The Mockingjay lives.”
Lionsgate also released a movie poster of Snow's "official portrait” on Tuesday along with the video.
In June, the first trailer for director Francis Lawrence's sequel was released, which was also an address from President Snow from The Capitol.
“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” hits theaters Nov. 21 starring Jennifer Lawrence, who was on a strict workout plan to prepare for her role as Katniss Everdeen.
