‘The Hunger Games’: Where to find the New Posters [PHOTOS & LINKS]

With five months to go before The Hunger Games arrives in theaters, Lionsgate has released eight new profile character posters for the film.

This is a real treat for fans of the popular trilogy and much-anticipated film adaptations, considering it's been nearly two months since the studio released the film's first trailer ever.

Jennifer Lawrence (Winter's Bone, Like Crazy) plays the film's heroine, Katniss Everdeen, a young woman who fights to survive in the post-apocalyptic world, complete with fight-to-the-death challenges and government corruption.

I was such a huge fan of the books before I even knew about the movies. I feel like a fan that gets to dress up . . . it was really, really great, Lawrence, 21, told Access Hollywood in May.

Directed by Gary Ross, The Hunger Games also stars Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, Liam Hemworth as Gale Hawthorne and Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy.

Stanley Tucci, Wes Bentley, Donald Sutherland and Lenny Kravitz also have roles in the film.

The Hunger Games is based on the popular young adult trilogy of the same name. The film arrives in theaters on March 23, 2012. The sequel, Catching Fire, will be released on Nov. 22, 2013.
