Husband Posts 'Wife For Sale' Ad And Describes Her Like A Used Car
A prankster husband put his wife on "sale" in a joke ad posted on social media, and described her as if he was talking about a used car.
While his wife Sarah McMillen was out of town, Robbie McMillen used his time to write up an ad entailed with a list of pros and cons about his spouse.
“Above average condition for year. Great headlights,” McMillen wrote in the post.
The 38-year-old husband also gave some advice about filling “the tank” with “cocktails.”
“Runs on corrs lite and cocktails seems to disappear when you fill the tank. Excellent smiles per gallon,” he added, according to Times Now.
McMillen, married for 20 years and a father-of-two, later said he received “few offers” after putting up the ad but noted that “unfortunately she’s now off the market.”
“As you can see by her picture, she’s never for sale,” he said, according to the New York Post. “She’s one in a million.”
McMillen not only amused netizens but also managed to get Sarah to laugh at his post.
“It was really only a joke, we’re always having a laugh with each other,” he said, according to the outlet.
The couple, originally from Essex, U.K., are currently living in Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria. They have two children, 17-year-old Mae and 11-year-old Leo.
Sarah, who seems to be no stranger to her husband’s shenanigans, said “maybe he just missed me” while she was on vacation and wrote the joke ad.
“He’s very cheeky. When I spotted the post I just laughed because he does things like that all the time, he’s a bit of a prankster,” she added.
Sarah pointed out McMillen’s comment about a “bad smell from exhaust every morning” and called it “cheeky.” She couldn’t help but agree with him about the cocktails.
“My favorite cocktail at the moment is an espresso martini, which is in my hand in that photo,” she added.
Sarah also offered some pearls of wisdom about what keeps their relationship going and said: “We’ve been together for ages and the secret to our relationship is that we’re always talking and laughing, we’re just best friends.”
