‘I Am Jazz’ Renewed? Jazz Jennings’ Brother Sander Drops Hints About Possible Season 8

TLC has yet to announce the renewal of “I Am Jazz” for an eighth season, but a recent social media post of its stars appeared to suggest that having another installment of the reality series is not out of the question.

On Monday, Jazz Jennings’ brother Sander, 24, took to Instagram to share a video clip showing the transformation of their family from 2013 to 2022. The clip starts with their present-day family gathering in front of the camera and ends with a snap showing their younger selves from nine years ago.

“Family transformation from 2013 to 2022,” Sander wrote in the caption, before dropping some clues if they are continuing their journey as public figures and reality TV stars.

“Our family is so blessed to have the platform to share our story. It’s up to all of us to rise up and continue to spread equality through unconditional love and allyship,” he added.

His trans activist sister, 21-year-old Jazz, shared the same post on her Instagram to spread the message that Sander wrote for their fans.

Although the post was far from an official confirmation of their reality show’s renewal, it does reiterate what their mom Jeanette Jennings said ahead of the Season 7 finale in February.

When she was interviewed by Dr. Kryss Shane for MediaVillage, Jeanette admitted that the continuation of their reality series was really up to them, especially her youngest daughter, Jazz. The show has been consistent with its ratings, so TLC would be happy to renew it for another season.

“I can say this, that it’s really in our hands, to put it that way. It’s really what Jazz wants to do, so it could be. But if she’s like tied up with summer school or something, they can’t film up at Harvard. They’re not allowed to … have cameras up there. Without her, we wouldn’t have a show,” Jeanette said.

The Season 7 finale showed Jazz finally leaving for Harvard. After delaying her college plans for two years, the TV personality was eager to start a new chapter in her life.

A day after the finale, fans got confused by Jazz’s Instagram update that featured a compilation of family photos from the previous seasons of the show. The caption she wrote had fans speculating that she might be saying goodbye to reality TV.

“That’s a wrap!!! I can’t believe it’s been seven seasons of ‘I Am Jazz!’ My family and I are so blessed to have been given this platform to spread unconditional love and bring awareness to the transgender community for the past seven years,” she wrote at the time.
