Ian Somerhalder Calls Nikki Reed His ‘Love’ In Holiday Weekend Ski Photos

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed spent the holiday weekend with family … on the ski slopes! “The Vampire Diaries” star and his “Twilight” belle were Instagram happy after Christmas, posting smiling photos while bundled up in their snow gear with Reed’s brother, Nathan.

According to Somerhalder, 36, the trio was hitting the trails in Sun Valley – presumably the Sun Valley resort located in Idaho. “No filter for this sunny Sun Valley day of awesomeness with my loves, the incredible @iamnikkireed and my brother @nathanaugustreed,” the actor captioned a selfie of him and Reed. Somerhalder’s post went on to explain how grateful he was for the support he and his organization, the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, received in 2014, and asked that his followers continue to spread “positivity and compassion.”

Nikki Reed took to her own Instagram page to post a video of her and her beau. In the quick clip, the 26-year-old actress displayed a “butt wiggle” while Somerhalder flipped on his snowboard and let out a yell of excitement.

“When families combine and hearts collide there’s only one thing to do. The butt wiggle,” Reed captioned the video. “@nathanaugustreed you are a crowned video king – the fact that you did this on your snowboard for two and a half minutes is the best. My brother and my love all in one day, on one mountain – I’m so overwhelmed by all the beauty that surrounds us. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Love … us.”

A day on the slopes is definitely something different for the pair, who began dating this past summer. During the warmer months, the couple was photographed jogging, visiting famers markets and enjoying afternoon coffee breaks.
