IBM says awarded five-year contract by BP
IBM (IBM.N) has been awarded a five-year application services contract by oil and gas firm BP (BP.L), the U.S. technology major said in a statement on Wednesday.
Financial details of the deal was not disclosed.
As part of the deal, IBM will manage and run the oil giant's enterprise applications and integrated service desk responsibilities, the statement said. Earlier on Wednesday, top three Indian outsoucers, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS.BO), Infosys Technologies (INFY.BO) and Wipro (WIPR.BO), also announced they had won IT services contracts from BP.
