Idina Menzel Gives ‘Frozen 2’ Update On Billboard Music Awards 2016 Red Carpet

Looking for some scoop on “Frozen 2”? Unfortunately, star Idina Menzel doesn’t know too much about the highly anticipated Disney sequel!

The 44-year-old actress and singer hit the red carpet ahead of the 2016 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas Sunday night, where E! reporters grilled her for some scoop on the followup to the 2013 family-friendly flick.

“It’s being done,” Menzel responded. And that’s all she would say! While she did add that they’re working on it, she explained that they’re still in the early stages regarding the storyline.

“Frozen 2” was officially announced by Disney in March 2015. Directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are returning for the sequel, and are teaming up with producer Peter Del Vecho. Buck teased last August that they have an “overall idea” that they’re excited about, but wouldn’t give any details regarding Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna’s (Kristen Bell) next adventure.

According to Variety, the first film raked in close to $1.3 billion in the box office when it was released in November 2014. The film also took home the Oscar for best animated feature.
