Iggy Azalea Addresses Halsey’s ‘Moron’ Diss After Ending Azealia Banks Feud
After recently ending her ongoing feud with Azealia Banks, Iggy Azalea doesn’t seem interested in igniting a new one with Halsey. The “Mo Bounce” rapper recently addressed comments the singer made about her and rather than responding negatively, she took the high road.
During a chat with Australian radio show Smallzy’s Surgery, Azalea revealed that she was surprised that Halsey mentioned her in her recent interview. “Yeah, it’s a bit weird to bring someone up in an interview that you weren’t asked about. It’s kind of like if we were talking right now and I just randomly started talking about Janet Jackson or something,” the “Switch” rapper explained.

The star revealed that she does not make a habit out of speaking about people who she knows nothing about. “To me, because I’m a famous person and I know a lot of the time people have opinions and they’re not always accurate, I really try very hard not to give my personal opinions about people that I don’t know. I don’t know her, I’ve never met her,” Azalea continued.
Despite the negative comments, Azalea seemed to sympathize with Halsey due to the pressures interviews can put on a person. “I think she got asked a question and she felt uncomfortable with, for whatever reason she brought me up and felt like that was a good deflection. I don’t think it worked… I don’t really think I had anything to do with it. It was a weird thing to bring me into it,” she stated.
The rapper went to reveal that she hopes Halsey take something away from her latest comments. “She’s young and I hope she learns maybe to be a bit less judgmental when she’s kind of in the same shoes. I’m sure she’s getting judged all the time as well by people who don’t really know her,” Azalea said.
“Maybe it’d be good for her to try to be a little more empathetic to other people that are in the same situation,” the rapper added.
The drama between the two artists started when Halsey sat down for an interview with The Guardian and begin to discuss artists featured on her upcoming album. She then revealed someone who she would never work with: Azalea. “Absolutely not. She had a complete disregard for black culture,” she told the media outlet.
Halsey then referred to the rapper as a “moron” and said that her career is failing. “I watched her career dissolve and it fascinated me,” she added.

Just last week, Azalea reached out to fellow rapper Azealia Banks to squash an ongoing feud that put the two women at odds for several years. In the message the rapper sent to Banks, she noted that the two don’t know each other to have an issue with one another and should “move past trivial beef with strangers.”
It remains unclear whether Azalea plans to reach out to Halsey following her latest comments.
