Iggy Azalea Explains Why She Let Fiancé Nick Young Off The Hook After Cheating Scandal
Iggy Azalea and fiancé Nick Young are still going strong even though Young was thrust into a scandal after a video surfaced of him seemingly admitting to cheating. In a radio interview, the “Team” rapper opened up about the tape of her NBA-player boyfriend — secretly recorded by Young’s teammate D’Angelo Russell — and explained why she decided to give her man another chance.
Speaking to Tampa Bay’s Wild 94.1 radio show the Orlando & The Freakshow, rapper Azalea said that she does not condone cheating and gave Young, 30, a stern warning.
“I said, 'One more video, just one more thing, and you will lose a quarter of your [penis],'” she said.
When the radio host pointed out that she doesn’t even know if Young actually cheated, Azalea responded: “Well, that’s why he got to slide this time. I was like, just let me get some real evidence and you’re gonna lose half an inch.”
Azalea continued, “Whatever bro code is, or whatever unspoken code that is, I don’t really care because I have an actual spoken commitment that you’re going to get married to me and that involves not doing any of those other things. Screw guy code. I’m not really concerned about guy code.”
Late last month, TMZ reported that Azalea and Young’s relationship was on the rocks because of the video, but the Australian native has made it clear she and the Los Angeles Lakers player are not about to break up.
“We’re good,” she said during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” last week. “There isn’t [controversy] at home, just on the internet. We call them trolls. There’s just a lot of people who take great joy in saying really awful things to people, so I got a lot of that.”
As previously reported, Young opened up about the tape during a pregame press conference last month, telling reporters he didn’t want to discuss his personal life and would handle things with Russell in private.
“I think it’s something we do need to sit down and talk about,” he said. “What happened is what happened. We’ve got to work on it.”
