Except for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, all the predecessor models from the Galaxy S series came with support for a microSD slot. But with the Incipio Offgrid Battery Case, users can not only use a microSD card on the both Galaxy S6 models but also a higher-capacity battery.
The chassis of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge is made up of glass and metal, giving both devices a premium touch. To accommodate high-end hardware inside, the manufacturers have made few sacrifices. Both the devices lack a microSD card slot. Also, the S6 and the S6 Edge are packed with non-removable batteries.
One of the simplest ways to increase the battery life of a device that features a non-removable battery is to make use of a battery case. Incipio is a company known for manufacturing battery cases and various accessories for smartphones, Phone Arena reported.
The battery present inside the Galaxy S6 is of 2,500 mAh capacity and the one that powers up the S6 Edge is of 2,650 mAh capacity. However, by using the Offgrid Battery Case with a huge battery of 3,700 mAh capacity, users can double the battery life of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge.
The case also features a NFC chip for performing transactions. It also supports fast charging through Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, and comes with an expansion slot for adding up to 128 GB of microSD card.
The Offgrid case does not support wireless charging, but the original casing of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge supports it.
