Inside Miley Cyrus’ Lavish Hidden Hills House That Singer Sold For $7.2 Million
KEY POINTS
- Miley Cyrus sold the Hidden Hills mansion that she bought just last year
- The Hollywood singer made a huge profit from the sale of the property
- The identity of the buyer was shielded behind a Missouri-based trust
Miley Cyrus made a huge profit by selling a luxurious mansion that she bought just last year.
Variety exclusively revealed Wednesday via The Dirt that the Hollywood star managed to sell the Hidden Hills property she bought for $4.9 million in the beginning of summer 2020. Cyrus made an impressive deal by securing $7.2 million from the mystery buyer. This means she profited about $2.3 million from the sale of the property.
Even though the identity of the buyer is shielded behind a Missouri-based trust, Just Jared said that it’s very likely for this person to be recognizable considering that the Hidden Hills neighborhood in California is home to many sports figures and celebrities including the world-famous Kardashian family.
What makes the sale even more interesting is the fact that the “We Can’t Stop” hitmaker actually never put the estate on the market. It was also not clear if Cyrus really intended to buy the property and quickly re-sell it. Furthermore, the 1.2-acre estate was actually featured in Architectural Digest just three months ago.
In the AD feature story, Cyrus herself spoke about the 6,800-square-foot mansion that features six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. According to the “Hannah Montana” actress, she renovated the structure, which was originally built in the 1950s, with the help of her mom Tish Cyrus and the latter’s design partner Mat Sanders.
“My mom believes that nothing is permanent, that there’s nothing that can’t be undone. People make bold choices in their lives, and sometimes those gambles work and bring you good fortune, and sometimes they don’t. But it’s a risk she’s willing—and I’m willing—to take in our lifestyle, and that is reflected in the design [of the house],” Liam Hemsworth’s ex-wife said.
The property now features arched windows, French oak floorboards, a formal living room with a vaulted ceiling, a massive outdoor entertaining area and a family room with a wet bar and a fireplace. It also comes with a gourmet kitchen with marble countertops, a large screening room, a lagoon-style pool and an outdoor kitchen next to a dining patio.
“Miley could have hired any designer that she wanted to. But for her to be like, ‘Mom, I love what you do, and I really want you to do this house’ was awesome,” Tish said.
