Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently living in their countryside home Anmer Hall in Norfolk along with their three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge recently got on a video chat for a virtual engagement and gave their followers a rare peek into their country home.
The Cambridge family returned to their country home when the third wave of COVID-19 struck the U.K. The couple had moved to their official residence, Kensington Palace, briefly after the lockdown restrictions were eased out in the summers.
However, as the U.K. went into another lockdown, the royals were forced to decamp their London home and move back to their 18th-century Georgian country house that is part of Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham Estate.
Prince William and Kate got on a video call with the members of bereavement support service Just "B" “who provide a listening ear for those coping with the loss of colleagues, loved ones, and people they care for.” They connected with the frontline workers and urged them to care for themselves as they devote their time caring for everyone else.
“People need to understand how you are normal human beings doing a brilliant job in a very, very difficult time and I hope this service gives people the outlet that they need. I fear, like you said, you're all so busy caring for everyone else that you won't take enough time to care for yourselves and we won't see the impacts for quite some time,” the father-of-three said on the video call from what appears to be the pair’s living room.
As they spoke to the members of a charity service that provides support to the frontline staff, they sat in a space that has cream walls and matching furniture. In addition, they have a beautifully decorated alcove with an arched mirror and hand-painted wall plates.
Looking closely, one can see a number of desk plants placed on a dresser behind them that is adding a serene look to their home décor.
As noted by Hello, the indoor plants on the alcove are a recent addition to their royals’ abode. Meanwhile, an adorable photo of Prince George is also spotted in their living room. The picture of their eldest son is from his sixth birthday as taken by the duchess, according to Us Weekly.
Anmer Hall is Prince William and Kate Middleton’s country house, which was gifted to them by Queen Elizabeth at their 2011 wedding. The three-story property that boasts of verdure surroundings is where the family-of-five spends most of their holidays, particularly Christmas and winters.
