Inside R. Kelly's $3.89M House Where Alleged Sexual Abuses Happened
The converted 1885 church that was once R&B musician and alleged sex offender R. Kelly’s home is one of the most notorious properties in the Chicago area.
The infamous home has been renovated here in there. It features a 1,500-square-foot roof deck complete with an outdoor kitchen, a sauna, and an elevator. The property also features cathedral ceilings and a total of 12 rooms.
The basement-level Colorado Room, where the musician filmed a 2002 viral sex tape that presents himself having sex with and urinating on a 14-year-old girl, retained some of its features.

In 2011, the renovated home was put under conract and it's the real deal, according to Shawn Daly, a Coldwell Banker agent, after numerous attempted purchases. The Lakeview mansion is currently up for sale for $3.89 million.
The Grammy awardee, who reportedly has not lived in the 8,000-square-foot Lakeview manion since 2002, is currently involved in a legal battle over his alleged predatory behavior towards underage girls. This controversy started way back in the ‘90s when Kelly, at the time 27, married a then 15-year-old Aaliyah. The secret Chicago ceremony was only carried out using a fake ID that indicated that Aaliyah was 18 years old. The singer and Aaliyah were annulled in February of 1995.
More and more of Kelly’s victims that he once treated as "sex slaves" have spoken up. And this week, R. Kelly, who was acquitted of child pornography charges in 2008, is finally put behind bars after over 20 sex tapes that feature minors. He was exposed with the help of the musician’s own friends that include his enablers, as well.
It was reported that his former staff handed the videos of Kelly having sex with underage girls to the feds, with the federal investigation uncovering 20 videos of the singer involved with underage girls.
A federal grand jury delivered a 13-count indictment. It also included four counts of producing child pornography and two counts of receiving child pornography.
Furthermore, the now arrested musician is facing another five count federal indictment from the Eastern District of New York that includes four violations of the Mann Act and racketeering. Prosecutors in Brooklyn feel the same way as well, seeing how they wanted to keep Kelly locked up until his trial.
People on the internet have spoken about the arrest. One Twitter user said that on account of 20 videos, people still want to support the musician.
The Twitter user further said that if she catches herself singing an R. Kelly song, she will immediately stop and repent.
Another tweet said that every one of the survivors told the public that Kelly taped them compulsively and without permission.
“Of course the Feds now have 20 tapes. There are thousands. Our survivors told the truth,” the tweet stated.
