Movie star Robert Downey Jr., the world’s most beloved Iron Man, purchased a gorgeous $3.8 million Malibu mansion back in 2017. A robot butler is, unfortunately, not included.

The stunning Malibu property is a 3-bedroom and 3-bathroom mid-century modern home that features an open floor plan. With a marvelous view of the Malibu Lagoon, this single-story mansion that was built in 1972 is a Malibu dream.

The 3,384-square-foot ocean view house features a backyard that is complete with a beautiful swimming pool, a hot tub, a putting green for mini golf, a fire pit and an entertaining area. What more can an A-list celebrity ask for?

The kitchen presents two sinks, an eight-burner stove and even a separate wine fridge. Moreover, retractable glass walls can be seen in the living room, certain to bring in light and a beautiful view, considering also that the mansion is perched on top of a sunlit cliff.

According to records, the property came on the market for $3.95 million in March 2017. Paul Grisanti of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage was the listing agent and Judy Feder of Hilton & Hyland represented the buyer at the time.

RDJ is famous for his role as Tony Stark or more commonly known as Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the character and the movie that started the prominent franchise that features an array of different comic book superheroes come to life.

Downey started playing the fan-favorite character in 2008. He has accumulated a display of other characters such as in “Sherlock Holmes” (2009), “The Judge” (2014), “Due Date” (2010), “Tropic Thunder” (2008), “Mussolini: The Untold Story” (1985) and “Chaplin” (1992).

In 2021, fans will receive a new treat as the famous detective Sherlock Holmes is getting a new movie. “Sherlock Holmes 3” is currently in pre-production.

Though Downey has had a battle with substance abuse and legal troubles in his earlier days,he fought through and rose to even more fame. At 54 years old, Robert’s net worth is estimated to be a whopping $300 million. Clearly, spending $3.8 million on his luxurious Malibu mansion isn’t a problem to the actor.
