KEY POINTS

  • Intel is anticipated to launch its 11th Generation Rocket Lake Desktop processors in March
  • the Intel Core i9-1190K offers the highest single-threaded performance among the processors
  • Intel gained big ground in the single-thread segment while AMD dominates the multi-thread segment

A new set of leaked benchmarks of Intel Core i9, Core i7 and Core i5 Rocket Lake Desktop CPUs suggests that the chipmaker may get its crown back from AMD in the single-thread department.

The leaked Rocket Lake Desktop CPU benchmarks were spotted by Wccftech within Geekbench. The benchmarks feature seven different levels of Intel 11th Gen Rocket Lake processors. This includes the Core i9-11900K, Core i9-11900KF, Core i7-11700K, Core i7-11700, Core i5-11600K, Core i5-11500, & the Core i5-11400.

Based on the leak, the Intel Core i9-1190K offers the highest single-threaded performance among the processors. It scores 1905 points in single and 10994 points in multi-thread tests at stock configuration. Meanwhile, under the Intel Core i7 series, the Core i7-11700K shows the maximum score of 1810 in single and 11304 in multi-core tests.

According to Wccftech, the result is "purely insane" since it was conducted using an overclock of 5.0 GHz. as a result, the scores put the Intel Core i7-11700k a little bit ahead of the Core 19-11900K. Meanwhile, the Intel Core i5-11600K scores 1622 points in the single-core and 7013 points in the multi-core test. The test was conducted on the platform running at DDR4-2133 MHz memory.

The Intel Core 15-11500 scores 1538 in the single-core test and 7434 in the multi-core test. The Intel Core 15-11400 desktop CPU, on the other hand, scores 1500 points in the single-core test and 6654 points in the multi-core test. The Intel Rocket Lake Desktop processors are rumored to launch March 15.

Intel gained big ground in the single-thread segment while its competitor AMD still dominates the multi-thread segment, according to Wccftech report. Intel is apparently positioning its 11th Gen desktop CPUs against AMD Ryzen 5 and AMDRyzen 7 series.

It is worth noting that these are leaked benchmarks and not official details from Intel. Fans should temper their expectations regarding the performance of the 11th Generation Intel Rocket Lake Desktop CPUs. With the launch anticipated to happen in a few weeks, fans can expect more information about these powerful desktop processors from Intel.
