The French hacker pod2g hasn't yet solved the iOS untethered jailbreak solution for the Apple iPhone 4S.

He had hoped to have a solution by the end of the weekend. But in a new blog post Monday, pod2g said he's having processor cache issues.

The untether fails right now because I'm having processor cache issues.

I'm close, but I can't figure out what happens. It certainly has something to do with the multicore cache management.

I could sort it out quick, it's a matter of chance.

A member of the Chronic Dev team who has his own blog and a loyal group of followers hoping he can crack the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak code, pod2g has found an untethered jailbreak solution for devices supported by Apple's A4 processors but he hasn't yet been able to crack Apple's A5 processors.

Some users had fingers crossed that he would get it done by the end of the weekend.

Said one to IBTimes: Pod2g tweeted yesterday he has enough Monet to buy 4s an iPad 2 and will be working hard all weekend I bet by christmas he has a untether jb across all devises the only ones he lacking in is 4s an iPad 2 cause they have a different chipset in them and remember they haven't been able to jb iPad 2 for over a year because of this chip he will get it done quote me.
