KEY POINTS
- Apple is anticipated to launch the 2020 iPad Pro next month
- The upcoming iPad Pro lineup would reportedly be equipped with a most requested feature
- Apple is allegedly working with a giant Taiwan-based company for this feature
TFI Securities Analyst and reliable Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo, last year, predicted that Apple would release the iPad Pro lineup this in 2020. Apple has not yet confirmed the existence of the next generation premium tablet. However, rumors claim that it might arrive in the next few weeks.
A new report claims that the 2020 iPad Pro might be equipped with a long-awaited and much-requested feature that could make it a worthy replacement for laptops.
Much-Awaited iPad Pro Feature
The new report comes from The Information, which claims to have received the details from a person familiar with the matter. The report claims that Apple would introduce the accessory to iPad Pro that consumers have long been requesting—a keyboard with a touchpad. Additionally, the site claims that the Cupertino-based company is gearing for the mass production of the accessory and is currently working with Foxconn Technology for this.
Last month, Taiwan-based publication Digitimes reported that the 2020 iPad Pro might arrive with a smart keyboard accessory that comes with a backlight. The keyboard, according to the report, would sport the scissor-switch design, which solved the headache Apple had with the MacBooks. This rumored accessory would provide convenience to users, especially those who are working at night because of its glowing keys.
Developer Steve Troughton-Smith seemingly confirmed the keyboard support for the upcoming iPad Pro arriving this year. He backed it up with a proof that the iOS 13.4 is for the keyboard support. However, the developer claims that there is no sign yet in the OS that it is preparing for the trackpad.
Other iPad Pro Details
The current speculation about the 2020 iPad Pro is that it might launch in March 2020. Earlier rumors suggested that it might feature a three rear camera configuration and house the A14X apple chip. It is also anticipated to feature a mini-LED fro its display and a 5G variant expected to release in the later part of the year. Although these details are interesting for iPad Pro fans, it is worth mentioning that these are not official as of yet. Hence, everything should be taken lightly.
