Earlier news of Apple’s next flagship smartphone, the iPhone 11, suggested that its premium variant the iPhone 11 Pro could come with its very own Apple Pencil.

The news stemmed from a supposed reliable leak showing an iPhone 11 case render with provisions for a pencil-like accessory that’s smaller than the ones used for the iPad Pro. However, the latest news from 9to5Mac is debunking this exciting theory, claiming that the new models won’t get an Apple Pencil support.

According to the report, reliable Apple insider Ming-Chi Kuo said that there won’t be an Apple Pencil coming to the new iPhone and that this is just a rumor that regularly reappears during a new phone launch.

He also detailed what other features to expect prior to the launch date of the new phone this Sept. 10. First, the new iPhones have not yet switched to USB-C, but two of the expected three models will have a fast charger included in the packaging detailing what to expect.

Next, the analyst said that the new iPhone models won’t be able to support bilateral wireless charging after all, a big letdown to those who believe this will be one of the main functions of the newest smartphone. However, Kuo believed that the technology won’t come yet in this line because the “charging efficiency may not meet Apple’s requirements.”

The wireless charging would have made it possible for users to charge other gadgets like the Apple AirPods. This news came about when Kuo revealed that Apple could be coming up with better and larger batteries that could have supported a wireless charging function. However, even Bloomberg reported that the Cupertino giant is having trouble perfecting the feature.

For the fast charger feature, Kuo said that the 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch iPhones will be bundled with an 18W power adapter equipped with a USB-C connector. The 6.1-inch iPhone XR, on the other hand, will still have the 5W USB-A charger. All of these will still sport the Lightning connectivity.

Aside from these, we all know that the iPhone 11 will have a triple-camera system with improved shooting capabilities, a new and powerful A13 chip found in the new logic board setup and will still sport the same look as the 2018 phones.
