iPhone 11 Release, Features: What We Learned From The iOS 13 Reveal
Here’s a shocking revelation: Apple has yet to acknowledge that they are coming out with the iPhone 11 release this year. So far, tech analysts are mostly relying on leaks or rumors from trusted sources of Apple news, leading to speculations that the Cupertino giant could be coming up with the iPhone 11, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max and the iPhone XR2.
But after major announcements were made at the 2019 Apple World Wide Developers Conference in San Jose, California, Apple fans may finally have some solid information about the company’s next flagship smartphone. According to a report from Tech Radar, based on the tech company’s announcement of the next iOS update or the iOS 13, some much-needed improvements to Apple’s current line up can be expected.
First, the next iPhone would have a significantly improved battery life without the need for a bigger unit. Coming out with the iOS 13 in time for the new iPhone could mean that the company no longer needs a new battery pack to support more power. The iOS 13 upgrade is expected to hold off battery aging in an iPhone along with its capacity to stay on longer after a full charge.
Connecting to better battery life, the iPhone 11 will definitely have a Dark Mode once it launches this September as expected. Dark Mode turns interface colors black and dark grey which in turn could reduce the amount of power the screen uses. Considering these two features from the iOS 13, expect a phone that you can use far longer without the constant need of charging.
For the iPhone XR2, we might finally get a phone that also has an OLED screen. So far, the XR features Liquid Retina but if it aims to take advantage of the iOS 13 Dark Mode then it needs to switch to OLED screens for full effect.
Now, it has been reported that the next iPhone will most likely have a triple camera set up at the back, but with the new iOS 13, we could also expect a better front-facing camera. The report shows that taking selfies with the iPhone 11 could offer better options such as improved lighting, higher resolution, better sensor and could even have a second camera for better Portrait shots.
There are other improvements brought about by the new OS that we can definitely expect from the next iPhone such as a better Siri interface, but we might have to wait until fall of 2019 before actually seeing what else Apple has in store for us all.
