Robert Downey Jr. receives warm birthday greetings from his Marvel family including Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo.

The “Iron Man” actor turned 55 years old on April 4. Downey Jr.’s birthday was celebrated by his Marvel family who paid a sweet tribute to him to make the day more special.

Evans who played Captain America in the “Avengers” films posted a photo of him with Downey Jr. on Twitter. In the snap, the “Do Little” star has one arm on Evans’ shoulder while raising his other arm.

“Happy birthday to one of my absolute favorites! Love you 3000, @RobertDowneyJr,” Evans wrote.

Ruffalo, who played the Hulk, also took the time to drop a sweet message for Downey Jr. He shared a clip of him hugging Downey Jr. from the back and accompanied it with a warm caption.

“Sending you all the virtual hugs for your birthday, @RobertDowneyJr I love you to life, 3000. It’s an honor knowing such a generous and complex man,” he wrote.

Taika Waititi, who portrayed multiple characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and directed “Thor: Ragnarok” also paid tribute to Downey Jr. However, he made a hilarious greeting with his unique way of marking the occasion by posting a photo of Graham Norton instead of Downey Jr. “Happy Birthday,” he wrote while tagging the “Iron Man” star.

Downey Jr. retweeted his pals’ greetings and thanked them. He shared a GIF of him winking and he reminded everyone to “stay safe, stay healthy.”

“Thanks to everyone who put a smile on my face today. There's a lot of you out there...” he wrote in the caption.

He also made a longer thank you message on Facebook. In the post, he encouraged everyone to stay safe, optimistic, vigilant and connected.

“First off, thanx for all the b-day wishes, much appreciated..Like so many, our family has lost friends and relatives over the last several weeks. The (well advised) inability to congregate , grieve , mourn, celebrate in a natural way has been less than ideal,” he wrote.

“When the time is right, I’ll pay proper homage to the fallen..Meanwhile, I feel driven to think of some new ways of communicating with y’all—Maybe give voice to YOUR struggles and insights during this unprecedented time? Maya Angelou would have turned 92 today, and I couldn’t agree more with her wisdom on the matter ‘There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.’”
