ISIS Executes 2 Alleged Iraqi Coalition Spies, Uses Wheelchair-Bound Fighters As Suicide Bombers, New Video Shows

The Islamic State group, also known as ISIS, released a new video showing the execution of two men who were allegedly spying for the Iraqi coalition, according to reports Thursday. The video also reportedly showed the militant group using handicapped fighters as suicide bombers.

In the video — titled “The Procession of Light” — one of the alleged spies is handcuffed, taken to a rooftop and beheaded, while the other man is waterboarded before being drowned as an audio track of his alleged spying activities is played in the background, according to reports.

The killings are reported to be the first execution video by ISIS in 2017. The video was released Jan. 3.

Apart from the executions, the video also showed wheelchair-bound ISIS fighters being strapped with bombs and used as suicide bombers. The video shows the militants helping a man with no legs out of a vehicle and into his wheelchair. The handicapped man is seen loaded with explosives before being sent on a suicide bombing mission, which is reported to have been carried out in Mosul, Iraq.

Last August, ISIS released a video showing five children executing prisoners in Syria’s Raqqa province. In the video, one of the executioners was reportedly a British boy said to be Abu Abdullah al-Britani. The nationalities of the other alleged child executioners were reported to be Egyptian, Kurdish, Tunisian and Uzbek. The nine-minute-long video shows all children in military uniforms and black head covers targeting the five kneeling hostages identified as “atheist Kurds” and “spies.”
