'It's A Tough World Out There,' Kanye West Warns Graduates
Kanye West delivered a speech to graduates at the Los Angeles Trade Technical College on Friday night. It is the same institute where the rapper was ordered to serve community service following a tussle with a photographer.
“It’s a tough world out there. You’re going to prepare yourself for politics, bad bosses, hatin’ employees,” West said during the speech, according to TMZ. “And usually, when you’re the absolute best, you get hated on the most.” The “Yeezus” rapper completed his community service at the college and was not required to make the speech, but he still chose to do so, says the website.
The rapper then told the students to “never stop fighting no matter what anyone says.” He also warned the students that the world will try to "compromise their vision" but they should not give up easily. He believes that if “it’s [ the passion] in your gut, if it’s in your soul, there’s nothing, there’s no worldly possessions that should come between you and your expression.”
Apart from delivering the speech, West also went backstage and attended LATTC’s Golden Thimble Fashion Show. It was the final fashion show by the graduating students, where they exhibited their theme-based work. The rapper also talked about the difficulties he faced when wanted to make a transition from his music career to the fashion world. The 37-year-old said that he was discouraged by people who “always try to box you in to what they know you best for."
Meanwhile, the rapper's wife Kim Kardashian is pregnant again, E! News has confirmed. The news was revealed during a clip of an episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” The clip shows a very excited Kardashian sharing the news with sister Khloe Kardashian.
The mommy to North West got the confirmation in the form of a blood test from her doctors. It was revealed earlier that she was trying hard to conceive for a long time. The couple's first child, North West, was born June 15, 2013, in Los Angeles after a very difficult pregnancy.
