  • Ivana Trump and Melania Trump feud revisited
  • Ivana Trump called herself the real first lady in a 2017 interview
  • Melania Trump is not jealous of Ivana Trump

Ivana Trump and Melania Trump used to be friends. But things quickly changed after Donald Trump became the president of the United States.

During Ivana’s appearance on “Good Morning America” to promote her book, “Raising Trump,” the mom of three threw shade at the FLOTUS. She also revealed that she has a private line to her ex-husband but doesn’t use it for fear that Melania would be jealous.

“I [don't] really want to call him there because Melania is there. And I don't want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that, because I'm basically first Trump wife, OK? I’m first lady, OK?” she said in the 2017 interview.

Ivana also said that she doesn’t think Melania enjoys living in Washington, and this remark didn’t sit well with the FLOTUS. Shortly after Ivana’s interview aired, Melania’s press secretary released a statement debunking her claims.

The press secretary said that President Trump’s current wife enjoys living in Washington, and she has also made the White House her and her son Barron Trump’s home.

“She loves living in Washington, DC and is honored by her role as First Lady of the United States. She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books. There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex. Unfortunately, only attention-seeking and self-serving noise,” the statement read.

In the book “Free, Melania,” author Kate Bennett said that the FLOTUS had to fend for herself ever since she moved to the White House. Even though Melania continues to be a mystery to the public, she has established a name for herself.

Melania has defined herself as someone who is not joined at the hip with President Trump. She also expresses her points of view even though they may not always be in line with her husband’s beliefs.

Throughout the past three years, the first lady has found her footing, and she has also learned how to steal the spotlight.
