  • Ivanka Trump reportedly called her stepmother "The Portrait," a new biography has claimed
  • The book also claimed that Melania Trump gave Ivanka the moniker "The Princess"
  • The two were said to have a relationship filled with issues

Ivanka Trump reportedly called her father President Donald Trump’s third wife, Melania Trump, “The Portrait,” according to a biography that has been heavily dismissed as fiction by the first lady of the United States.

“The Art of Her Deal,” Mary Jordan’s masterpiece, tackles the life of Melania, but the subject has disputed the claims made in the biography. According to the book, President Trump’s daughter and senior White House aide Ivanka used to call the 50-year-old former model “The Portrait” because of how rarely she spoke, People reported.

Melania, meanwhile, apparently also had a nickname for Ivanka, “The Princess,” which is allegedly an allusion to her privilege and entitlement. A New York Times review said that Melania used the moniker to refer to her when she was younger, although there were no specifics mentioned.

The author, who used more than 100 interviews for the book revolving around Melania, is a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer for The Washington Post. Jordan’s work, however, was condemned by the first lady's camp as false and a work of fiction.

"Yet another book about Mrs. Trump with false information and sources. This book belongs in the fiction genre,” said Melania’s spokesperson and chief of staff Stephanie Grisham.

White House spokesman Judd Deere expressed his disdain of the biography and said that the “allegations couldn’t be further from the truth and had the Washington Post or the publishers of this book fact-checked this with Ivanka’s office, they would know that.”

While the biography has easily earned Jordan enemies in the Trumps, it is worth noting that this wasn’t the first time that issues between Melania and Ivanka have surfaced. In 2017, a Vanity Fair article said there was “frostiness between the two” ladies.

However, Grisham was quick to denounce this and claimed Melania and her stepchild had always had a close relationship. Another biography, written by Kate Bennett of CNN, also claimed that the infamous jacket with the words “I Really Don’t Care, Do U?” worn by the FLOTUS when she visited migrant kids was meant to be a dig at Ivanka.

It was said that Melania was irritated that Ivanka was taking credit for the work she had done.
