‘iZombie’ Season 3 Spoilers: Liv Punches Blaine In The Face In Episode 7 Trailer
Liv (Rose McIver) is going to use some violence to make Blaine (David Anders) admit that he’s the one who stole Ravi’s (Rahul Kohli) zombie cure doses.
In the trailer for next week’s Season 3, episode 7 of “iZombie,” Liv is dead certain that Blaine was the one who broke into Ravi’s morgue and took the remaining doses of the cure. “That rat has stolen the rest of the doses,” Liv tells Ravi in the preview clip. “This is Blaine’s fault. And if I find him, I will beat a confession out of him.” So when Liv bumps into Blaine in the street, the assistant medical examiner takes the opportunity to punch him in the face.
While Liv’s primary suspect is Blaine, Ravi thinks that Don E. (Bryce Hodgson) could also be the one who stole the rest of the cure syringes. In this week’s Season 3, episode 6, Don E. pays Ravi a visit at the morgue asking if he could get a dose of the cure. Don E. told Ravi that one of his rich clients at his nightclub wants the cure and is willing to pay for it.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Rob Thomas revealed that Liv and Ravi are going to interview both Blaine and Don E. in episode 7, but the lab partners won’t prove anything.
“Don E. and Blaine are the obvious suspects that they will investigate in this next episode, but they don’t come up with satisfactory answers,” Thomas said. “Our plan was to let that mystery remain unresolved for the back half of the season but then to find the answer in the season finale. [But] we ended up running out of time in the season finale, and that reveal got cut. So, what will happen is they’ll find out [who stole the cure doses], I think, pretty early in Season 4.”
Also in next week’s episode, as revealed in the synopsis for the hour, Peyton (Aly Michalka) gets a “very interesting” case. While the episode summary doesn’t specify which case this is, Thomas confirmed to E! News that it’s the dominatrix case.
"At the end of the dominatrix case, the guy they bring in seems to just give up immediately, and we wanted that to strike people as a little odd, and in episode 6, it does strike Peyton as odd,” Thomas said. “And she is going to start pulling at some threads there and she’s going to become very suspicious, even though she’s supposed to be the prosecutor, she’s going to come to not believe her own case. And as she starts pulling at some threads, she will discover new stuff.”
“We didn’t want Peyton just to be there as an object of male affection,” Thomas said of their decision to give Peyton a case of her own. “We wanted to give Peyton her own storyline, her own involvement in the mythology, and that’s sort of what happens when she starts pulling back the layers of that case.”
As for the case of the week, Liv and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) try to solve the murder of a very charming, but womanizing, preschool teacher. The investigation gets interesting when the crime-solving duo bring the victim’s jealous girlfriend Piper (Shenae Grimes) in for questioning.
“iZombie” Season 3, episode 7, titled “Dirt Nap Time” airs on Tuesday, May 16 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
