Jaclyn Torrealba's DJ boyfriend charged with her murder
Jaclyn Elisse Torrealba, a freshman at Florida International University was murdered Sunday by her 30-year old boyfriend Juan Carlos Portieles following a verbal altercation, police said, according to CBS News.
Portieles, mostly known as DJ Seasunz, has been charged with second degree murder for the death of the 18-year old student, the Miami-Dade Police confirmed on Monday according to the network.
Portieles entered a police station Sunday evening with scratches all over his body and face, confessing he had Torrealba's body on the passenger seat of his car. In the midst of an argument, he beat and bit her, then choked her until she stopped moving, police said, according to the Miami Herald.
Torrealba had dated her boyfriend for about two years. Torrealba was described as smart and had been a cheerleader and debate team member in high school, police said according to the paper.
