James Corden revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and announced that his show will take a break for the next few days as he recuperates from the illness.

Corden shared the news on his Instagram handle Thursday and wrote: “I just tested positive for covid 19. I’m fully vaccinated, boosted and because of this am fortunate enough to say I feel completely fine. The show will be off the air for the next few days. Stay safe everyone. All my love, James x.”

Jared Leto and stand-up comedian Nick Thune were supposed to appear on the show Thursday night. Replays of previous episodes of “The Late Late Show” will be shown until Corden’s recovery. Insiders told Variety that new episodes will be released on Jan. 18.

Corden is the third late-night show host to announce his COVID-19 positive diagnosis this week following Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon.

Meyers announced he had tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday which also led to the cancelation of this week’s episodes of “Late Night With Seth Meyers.” Jimmy Fallon revealed Monday that he got COVID-19 during the show’s holiday break, but has since recovered from it.

On his show Monday night, Fallon spoke briefly about his experience with COVID-19 and encouraged viewers to get vaccinated.

“I’m just telling everyone out there, get vaxxed if you can, get booster because man, this thing, it’s a ‘banger.’ If I didn’t have that, I’ll be really, really sick. So, I wanna thank all my doctors who gave me all the vax and the booster and to all the doctors and the nurses who are working so hard out there, thank you so much,” Fallon said before canned cheers and applause erupted in the studio.

In an Instagram post, he reiterated his call for vaccination, writing: “I was vaccinated and boostered which made me lucky enough to only have mild symptoms. Thank you to the doctors and nurses who work so hard around the clock to get everyone vaxxed. Thank you to NBC for taking the testing protocols so seriously and doing a great job.”
