After Daniel Craig ended his career as James Bond, there are rumors on social media that Jamie Dornan can be the next James Bond. In a recent interview with Esquire, the 39-year-old actor reacted to the rumors and said that it would be “fun” to play James Bond’s character.

"It’s fun and it’s a cool thing to be in the mix for that sort of thing," Dorman told the outlet. "I do think it’s very transparent in terms of if you look at that list, there’s not one person on that list who doesn’t have some content at the moment that’s doing well."

However, the actor noted that the audience is very judgemental when it comes to actors playing roles in major franchises, including James Bond.

"Prejudgment is such a f--king disease," Dornan told the outlet. "It’s a disease in all our culture. In my line of work, sure. But in general, people prejudge people based on f--king anything really, and it’s very sad."

The actor gave a recent example of "The Batman" movie, which featured actor Robert Pattinson in the title role. "Look at the reaction when Rob got cast as Batman. It was like 90 percent negative," he noted before mentioning how Craig also received backlash when his name was announced for Bond's character.

"It was vile what was written," he added. "It was actually disturbing when you see the f--king venomous anger that people have over casting decisions. And then guess what? Daniel Craig is f--king brilliant, and it changes the whole energy of Bond. All the naysayers love what Rob has done with Batman."

Ahead of "The Batman" release, director Matt Reeves also reacted to netizens slamming Pattinson for his portrayal in the movie.

"There has been no actor when his announcement that he was going to be playing Batman in one of the feature films was announced, that has not received a backlash," Reeves told Esquire earlier this year.

On the work front, Dornan got success with the erotic romantic drama movie, "Fifty Shades of Grey," which was dropped in 2015. The actor appeared in the TV miniseries, "The Tourist," which was released on Jan. 1. He is currently filming "Heart of Stone" with actress Gal Gadot.
