Jana Duggar Makes Rare Comment About Her Dream Boyfriend, Courtship On ‘Counting On’

Next week’s installment of “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” will be a doozy for Duggar fans. After the docuseries’ Season 1 premiere Tuesday, TLC released a promotional video for episode 2 showing Jana Duggar opening up about her dating life.

While Jana, the eldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, doesn’t dish whether she’s in a courtship in the teaser, she does reveal what her dream man would be like.

“A hardworking guy versus an office job guy,” the 26-year-old replies when sister-in-law Anna Duggar asks her what she looks for in a man. When her sister, Jessa Seewald, says Jana prefers a guy that “gets his hands dirty,” Jana agrees. “I want dirt under the nails,” she says with a laugh.

The synopsis for episode 2, “Date Night and Bright Lights,” does not reveal whether Jana will share more about her dating life in the forthcoming installment. But the summary does reveal Jessa and Jana will work on a do-it-yourself lighting project together. Jessa will also discuss the adoption plans she and husband Ben Seewald have made. Elsewhere in the episode, some of the Duggars will visit Jill and Derick Dillard overseas while they’re on their extended mission trip.

Season 1 of “Counting On” will feature more of Jill and Jessa’s siblings. Unlike the series’ first three episodes, future installments will follow Duggar siblings Jana, Jinger, John-David, Joseph, Josiah and Joy as they navigate “their own talents and passions.”

Unlike younger sisters Jessa and Jill, Jana has not officially entered into a courtship, but she has been linked to several men in recent years. Last year, a rumor swirled that Jana previously turned down a courtship with family friend Zach Bates. Jana was most recently linked to Tim Tebow, an NFL quarterback who is now a free agent. Jana’s cousin Amy Duggar shortly afterward shot down the rumors, saying her Jana had never even met the religious athlete.
