Jana Duggar Spends Time With Younger Siblings Amid ‘19 Kids And Counting’ Molestation Scandal
Jana Duggar, star of “19 Kids and Counting”, has been spending time with her family following the scandal that rocked the TV show's fan base last month. The eldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar has been pictured with her expansive Arkansas brood on two occasions in recent days.
Jana, 25, took to her parent’s Facebook fan page on Thursday to share a warm sentiment about her mom Michelle. “Love spending time with this sweet lady,” Jana wrote. “So thankful to have her as a role model, a friend and a mom! Always love my time with her.” The post was accompanied by a personal photo of Jana posing with her mother and “19 Kids and Counting” co-star.
On Sunday, the family shared more personal snapshots of the “19 Kids and Counting” star, this time spending quality time with six of her younger siblings. “What fun we can have in one day!” Jim Bob and Michelle posted to Facebook along with several images of their daughters Johannah, 9; Jennifer, 7; Jordyn-Grace, 6; Josie, 5; and Jana having a tea party. Two other photos showed their sons Jackson, 11, and Justin, 12, playing outdoors. “Formal high tea party and a great creature hunt (Turtles and crawdads found!) What a perfectly wonderful Saturday spent with these kiddos!” read the photo gallery caption.
Jana, who unlike her sisters Jill, 24, and Jessa, 22, is not married and reportedly has refused to enter into a courtship, is frequently photographed with her younger brothers and sisters and is said to spend a majority of her spare time helping out at her parent’s Arkansas abode. While she is a student midwife, she was rumored to be leaving her family's reality show in March to pursue an education at a Christian college. Jana has yet to comment on the reports, saying only that her family’s long-running reality series was “special” in an interview with People in April.
The latest images from the “19 Kids and Counting” clan come at a time when the Duggars are facing backlash for Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal. Last month, a police report was released detailing Jim Bob and Michelle’s oldest son’s acts of molestation in his teenage years. The report, which was obtained by In Touch, stated that Josh, now 27, had inappropriately touched five underage girls, a majority of whom were his siblings, in 2002 and 2003.
In response to the allegations, TLC yanked “19 Kids and Counting” from its airwaves on May 22. The network has yet to announce its plans for the show.
