Jana Kramer Opens Up On Not Having Kids On Christmas Eve: 'Extremely Hard'

Jana Kramer is having a hard time accepting her holiday arrangements with her ex-husband, Mike Caussin, this year.

For Christmas Eve, their kids, Jolie, 6, and Jace, 4, will be staying with the former football player, 35, so the singer-actress, 38, will be celebrating the holiday on her own.

"I was dreading this holiday," Kramer was quoted as saying by Us Weekly during an Instagram Q&A on Saturday. "Because I knew the first holiday I had them Christmas Eve night, and I always knew that this one was going to be the first [I was alone], and it was going to be extremely hard."

The Michigan native went on to admit that she knew the holidays would be difficult this time around ever since she "signed the divorce papers" last year. Their divorce was finalized in July 2021.

Kramer also shared her holiday plans, saying she's "going somewhere because I don't have the kids for a week." She added that she will come back on Christmas Eve, but she would just pretend that it's a normal day, so it won't make her sad.

The "Story" songstress said that since their children "don't know what day it is," she would like to celebrate her own Christmas Day with them.

"Yes, at [their] dad's house it's gonna be Christmas Day but that doesn't mean that it has to be the same day here. Because they don't know. They just want [to] enjoy and be happy and get presents," she explained.

In October, the "Steppin' Into the Holiday" star claimed during her guest appearance on "Red Table Talk" that Caussin cheated on her with more than 13 women.

At the time, Kramer also expressed her frustration about not being able to spend the holidays with their kids because of her situation with Caussin.

"I know we're both in better situations, but I think about this year, my kids won't wake up at my house [on] Christmas Day. That one's going to hurt," she said.

Meanwhile, Kramer made headlines last month after admitting in an episode of her "Whine Down" podcast that actor Chris Evans ghosted her after an awkward bathroom run-in.

According to the actress, she never heard from the Captain America actor again after she went to use his bathroom before him. She said she had eaten asparagus prior to that.

"And so that's the last interaction that I remember is him going to the bathroom after I just went to the bathroom with asparagus pee and never hearing from him again," she said.

Kramer admitted they never hooked up that night, but she shared that Evans was a "great kisser."
