Jana Kramer Posts Her Baptismal Video: 'Today Is The Day I Stopped Walking Alone'

Jana Kramer has offered a glimpse of her baptism in a new set of photos and videos on Instagram. The country singer revealed in her post that she got baptized at the Crosspoint Church in Franklin, Tenn on Sunday, with her boyfriend Ian Schinelli and her family as witnesses.

One of the clips shows Kramer emotionally settling into a tub of water, where she was submerged seconds later. The clip shows the singer reemerging with a big smile on her face after getting baptized. “This is my battle cry,” she wrote in the caption.

“This is the day I stopped walking alone. The beauty is… I was never alone. He was always walking with me… I just didn’t think I deserved that. If I’m honest I didn’t know how to trust it or if I could trust it at all. Looking up to a ‘father figure’ with my past was hard to believe or have comfort in. I didn’t think he would stay. That he wouldn’t hurt me. So I pushed God away for years,” she added.

She went on to reveal how she came to know God during a difficult time in her life. “Last year in the brokenness and quiet moments alone, I realized I wasn’t truly alone. That HE was there. That HE never left. God was just waiting for me to come to him. And I have… and today I made my faith public and it feels really good to know no matter what happens next on this journey of life, HE is next to me walking with me,” she continued.

In a separate post, Kramer shared a video of herself entering a hall and climbing into a water tub before her baptism. “I don’t have the words yet,” she wrote in the caption. “I will. But for now, in the name of Jesus Christ there is healing.”

Her post earned congratulatory messages from her fans and friends, including Shawn Johnson, who wrote, “YES MAMA YES!!! I’m so proud of you!!!” Tori Spelling also expressed her love for the singer, writing, “This is so raw and beautiful mama. I love you.”

Photos and videos of her baptism show that Schinelli was there to witness the occasion. Earlier this month, Kramer and Schinelli made their relationship Instagram official after Kramer shared sweet photos of them together on the platform.
