  • Fonda earlier said she regrets turning down Marvin Gaye's advances

Jane Fonda got candid about her personal life during her recent appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

On Friday, Fonda appeared on "Ellen" to promote her book "What Can I Do? My Path from Climate Despair to Action." When guest host Tiffany Haddish asked about her secret to looking good in her latest magazine spreads, the 82-year-old actress revealed that her glow was definitely not due to her doing the deed.

"I need to know, because you look so good, are you still having sex? Are you having, like, crazy sex?" Haddish asked.

"No, no, zero," Fonda replied, shaking her head and giving a thumbs down. "I don't have time. I'm old and I've had so much of it. I don't need it right now because I'm too busy!"

"My favorite ex-husband Ted Turner, he always said, 'If you wait too long it grows over.' I think he's right. I couldn't have sex again even if I wanted to," she jokingly added.

Fonda was married to billionaire Turner from 1991 to 2001. She was also previously married to activist and politician Tom Hayden from 1973 to 1990 and "Barbarella" director Roger Vadim from 1965 to 1973.

During their chat, Haddish also praised Fonda for turning down R&B icon Marvin Gaye's advances and being faithful to then-husband Hayden. In a previous interview with The New York Times, Fonda confessed that she regrets not sleeping with Gaye because she was married to Hayden at the time.

"You a good woman," Haddish told Fonda. "You a good woman and I probably would not have been so good. But I aspire to be like you, so I'm learning how to control myself."

Fonda then joked that Haddish shouldn't "learn to control" herself with her boyfriend, Common, to which the comedian replied that she's "outta control with him." Haddish declared that she would put her hand up and say, "I've got a man," if another man flirts with her.

The "Grace and Frankie" star has no interest in dating again. Fonda told The New York Times that she no longer has time for it and already feels complete having her children, grandchildren and friends. She also made it clear that even if she is not dating, she doesn't feel lonely.

"I’ve never been bored or lonely in my life," she said.
