‘Jane The Virgin’ Season 4: Jane’s Book Tour Has 2 Unexpected Participants
Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) is going on a book tour this “Jane the Virgin” Season 4, and her mother and grandmother both want to join the fun.
The synopsis for Chapter Seventy-One, which was shared by WTKR, hinted that Jane’s upcoming book promotion will not go smoothly. Thankfully, she has her two best girls by her side.
It reads: “Jane is excited for her first book tour and brings Xo (Andrea Navedo) along for fun, but Alba (Ivonne Coll) decides last minute that she is going as well. Things take an unexpected turn at their first stop which makes all three ponder what they should do. Rafael (Justin Baldoni) and Rogelio’s (Jaime Camil) attempts to take care of Mateo while Jane is away hits a bump, but ultimately might have made things better between them. Meanwhile, Petra (Yael Grobglas) thinks she has finally gotten a handle on the hotel, until a new problem arises.”
Rafael already bonded with Alba when he moved into the Villanueva household, so bonding with Jane’s dad is really going to help strengthen his relationship with Jane. Jane’s mother and father both adore her late husband, Michael Cordero (Brett Dier), so having more of her family warm up to Rafael is a good sign that the two will get back together as the show progresses.
Baldoni earlier told TV Guide that he is hopeful the two will rekindle their feelings for one another, but now is not the right time. Rafael has just lost his job and he even went on a downward spiral for a bit before Jane and Alba finally talked sense into him.
“I think at this snapshot in his life, he’s not in a place to be a romantic partner to Jane, no. But again, this is a character that shows day in and day out that he can grow. I think she knows Rafael’s heart and he made the right decision, but right now he’s got to take care of himself and he’s got to recover from what he did,” he said.
“Jane the Virgin” Season 4 airs every Friday on The CW at 9 p.m. EDT.
