‘Jane The Virgin’ Stars Justin Baldoni And Gina Rodriguez Joke About A New Love Triangle

“Jane the Virgin” maintained the best love triangle from Seasons 1 and 2, what with Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) finding it hard to choose between two equally great guys: Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni) and Michael Cordero (Brett Dier). But in the end, Jane chose Michael and finally married him during the Season 2 finale. This Season 3, the show provided a heartbreaking twist by killing off Michael, so Jane is back to square one.

In real life, however, Rodriguez is having the time of her life dating her boyfriend, Joe Locicero.

Baldoni is naturally happy for his co-star, but on his Instagram, the actor poked fun at their relationship by posting a photo of a new, albeit different, love triangle.

The two stars seem to enjoy teasing about rekindling Jane and Rafael’s shortlived romance. But is it possible that Jane and Rafael could get back together? After all, they are each other’s best friend, and they have grown up significantly since Season 1.

Michael Ausiello from TV Line earlier said that now is just not the right time for Jane to find love again. “If you’re like me, you’re probably wondering how long it’ll be before Jane starts boning Rafael. Well…you may have to wait a while,” he said.

On the other hand, Rodriguez is not closing any doors for a Rafael-Jane romance. The actress believes anything is possible in “Jane the Virgin.”

“It’s a telenovela, c’mon, you know that,” Rodriguez said, according to Bustle. “There’s gonna be a lot of triangles, a lot of love. A lot of messiness and redemption and all the things we go through on a daily basis. Lots.”

“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 airs every Monday at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
