‘Jane The Virgin’ Stars Make Goofy Faces In New Set Photo On Instagram
Life is not always a bed of roses for the characters of “Jane the Virgin,” and they deal with heartbreak, loss, deception and trials almost on a daily basis. But with every heartbreak comes redemption, with every loss comes a second chance, and with every deception comes learning. The good thing about the characters of The CW show is they know how to balance the good with the bad and see the positive light in every horrible situation.
The same goes for the stars who play these characters. They know how to put on sad faces when the cameras start rolling, but when they’re relaxing on the set, they showcase their goofy sides.
Justin Baldoni, who plays Rafael Solano in the series, shared a photo of this goofy side on his Instagram page. Even Baldoni's onscreen son Mateo stuck out his tongue for the photo, although Gina Rodriguez, who plays Mateo’s onscreen mother Jane Gloriana Villanueva, is not present in the wacky shot.
Rafael is in for a lot of trouble after he broke up with his girlfriend, Abby Whitman (Minka Kelly). Abby was so upset that Rafael did not want her to move in that she sent a card to the police, saying that they should re-open the case of Scott Archuletta (Wes Armstrong), whose dead body was found near the Marbella Hotel. Nobody knows for certain how Scott died, but it’s clear Rafael and his ex-wife, Petra (Yael Grobglas), are hiding something.
Baldoni earlier told Entertainment Tonight that the mystery surrounding Scott’s death would play a significant role in the second half of Season 3. “It’s definitely going to be one of them (main mystery). I don’t know about it being the big anything because there is a lot of big on ‘Jane the Virgin,’” he said.
Personally, Baldoni said he has no clue who killed Scott, and neither do his co-stars. “It’s just brilliant how they have the vest on him. It’s a classic ‘Jane the Virgin’ reveal and cliffhanger: Who did that? How did that happen? Whodunit?” he questioned.
“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 airs every Monday at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
